Resolved Question: Is it really true that living in West Los Angeles is dangerous for people of color ?

I have a question ... I live in Azusa, CA in Los Angeles county and I am graduating in Computer Information Systems hoping to relocate in West LA hopefully in Santa Monica or Marina Del Rey ... I heard that West LA is not good for people of color .. Is it true ??? I heard people of color get treated differently by cops and gangs over there... Is it really true if you're a good colored person with good behavior or are people just exagerating ????? I am of ethiopian descent and I am college educated graduating in December... Will it really be that dangerous for me to live there just because of my skin color ??? Someone told me about it and I couldn't believe it .....
